Currently working on dissertation (PhD): Developmentality: indirect governance within the aid sector. The thesis focuses at donor-recipient relationships between World Bank and Uganda.
Working on the following projects:
Empirical and comparative study of the Protection of Civilians concept’s theory and practice
, i.e. how the concept is understood and applied by different actors in the international society; both in the field, at state level and at the headquarters (with Benjamin de Carvalho).
From June 2008 to July 2009 the research project “Regional Dimensions of International Engagement in the Horn of Africa” is conducted in collaboration with Axel Borchgrevink.
Withering UNMEE – whither now?
In an unprecedented decision UN in July 2008 terminated UNMEE before the mission was completed. This project investigates UNMEE’s recent trajectory and the political economy leading to UNMEE’s termination with the aim of providing a learning account. The study is funded by NOREF.
