Current research
Spring 2010 - visiting researcher at American University in Washington.
Works from 1 January 2009 with a PhD project funded by the Ministry of Defence. The project investigates the importance of strong bilateral relations between states in international security policy. The working title is "Beyond strategic alliance - Hegemony, bilateralism and special relationships in international security politics". The project period is 2009–2012.
Other research interests include NATO and transatlantic security, European integration and EU foreign and security policy, British foreign policy and international political theory.
