Comprehensive Perspectives on Norwegian Foreign Policy
The project seeks to give a comprehensive perspective on decision-making procedures in Norwegian foreign affairs.Participants
How are decisions taken in Norwegian foreign affairs and by whom? Why do some interests gain higher priority than others and how do new strategies, ways of thinking and areas of commitment manage to obtain attention? What is the role of the parliament and what does it matter in practice? Which tensions exist between various departments and ministries? What is the role of civil society and what other actors participate in the decision-making procedures, through which channels and with what power?
The aim of this project is to provide a theoretically informed and wide overview and analysis of the most important actors/institutions that operate in the decision-making procedures in Norwegian foreign politics.
