This issue of Internasjonal Politikk contains review articles about climate and the environment in the Arctic, the war between Georgia and Russia in 2008, and on Nordic military–political cooperation.
The Focus section highlights peacebuilding, particularly in Liberia. As the editors write in their preface: 'Peacebuilding efforts often fail, and therefore it is especially important to learn from past experience. (…) Norway has been a key partner in endeavours to build long-term peace in Liberia. As a consequence, it is natural for the journal to include critical perspectives on these efforts.'
