Balkan Programme

 
 


NUPI’s Balkan Programme was established in 2006 as an applied programme within the research field of security sector reform. The Balkan Programme consists of four autonomous projects: Security Sector Reform in Bosnia-Hercegovina, Belgrade School of Security Studies (BSSS), The Long-term Impact of the International Sanctions Against Yugoslavia, and The Peace Support Operations Training Centre (PSOTC) in Sarajevo.

Balkanseminaret 2012 2012

Siktemålet med seminaret er at unge politiske ledere og forskere skal kunne stifte bekjentskap med Vest-Balkan og knytte nye kontakter i regionen. Balkanseminaret arrangeres annet hvert år av NUPI i samarbeid med Telenor og med praktisk støtte fra Utenriksdepartementet. More


Security Transitions in the Western Balkans - From Conflict Zone to Security Community 2010 - 2013

The project, organised as a consortium, will examine the strategic priorities of the Western Balkans. More


International state-building in Kosovo – security, self-determination, and privatisation 2009-

This project is a pilot and preparatory study to an upcoming 3-4 year research project on dominating conceptualisations of the right to self-determination and implications of international state building in Kosovo. The pilot will also look into one central part of Kosovo’s international state building project – privatisation – and include interviews with a few relevant actors, observers and experts. More
