Framework and Conditions for the Northern Petroleum Sector
The project analyses the development of four political sectors – defence and security policy, environmental policy, fishery policy and Northern policy – in connection and considers the consequences for the petroleum sector in Northern areas, especially the Barents Sea. Common to all the modules is the emphasis on the role of Moscow in shaping Russia’s Northern policies and sector policies of particular significance for the development of the petroleum sector in Northern areas.
The project also seeks to form a basis for closer cooperation among the three participating research institutes.
