Governance, Gender and the Environment: Ukraine/Norway
The project aims to develop a long-term co-working relationship with research institutions in Ukraine. A three year framework agreement has been developed between NUPI and NaUKMA. For each of the project’s three parts – democratization, gender, the environment – a Master's course is held annually. Through frequent workshops the aim is to develop networks between Ukrainian and Norwegian researchers, specifically between the National University of the Mohyla Academy in Kiev and the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs (NUPI), and to encourage research and publication activities.
From 2005 the project has included trade policy as well. Master’s courses in international economics are held at the Economic Education and Research Consortium (EERC-Mohyla) and a conference on trade policy is arranged each year.
